Step: rocker and counter

A rocker and a counter are the turns on one leg with a change of moving direction without change of edges, but with a change of lobe.In this video we will talk about rockers and counters with Alexey throughout 15 minutes.The rocker is performed in the direction of inside lobe. For example, if you skate on the right leg forward-outside, after a turn you continue skating on the right leg backward-outside.The counter is performed in the direction of outside lobe. Step: Loop

A loop is a turn on one leg. It is performed when a figure skater slides along the arc and does a quick turn on his axis then goes at the same direction. There is left a track in the form of a loop. That is why it is called that. The loop is a hard turn. A good coordination is required. Loops are performed with any edges, but the element is done with the only entering edge.

Bracket turns are the hardest of all turns. One of the conditions of a correct execution is a strongly bent body before and after the turn. Loop three turn

The three-turn loop jump is a step with a change of direction of movement and edge. It is used in jump training as an entrance for different jumps. Alexey will show you a proper perfomance of this step and will tell you about basic mistakes.

Jackson

Jackson consists of several elements. The most important element is an outside mohawk. Jackson is performed to the left this way: a left leg forward-outside, a right leg backward-outside mohawk. Then legs are crossed forward, changing for the left leg, moving backward, inside edge. The last step is a change for the right leg forward-inside. Jackson is performed to the right at the same way, but with another leg.

Crossrolls

Cross-rolls performed by Adam Lukash - Hungarian Ice Dance Champion.In theory, a cross-roll is a movement with a change of leg and direction of gliding. It is started with either leg on an outside edge, the free leg is placed behind. Next the free leg passes by the supporting leg in sixth position and then it is put on ice.
